It was good. very good. There seemed to be a hint of "but we'll explain that in a later chapter" in every chapter. And I'm not sure if they meant it was explained in previous chapters or they just never explained (they did this cliff hanger in even the last chapter!). Aside from this, th ebook is incredible. Like a lot of books, it's sort of a selling device to get you to buy their "celebrity maker" service where they can personally guide you to implement the concepts in the book. -Because of this, I feel they could've been more specific in certain concepts. As if some of that training you must pay for could've been published in the book. But it's overall still very full of wisdom and paradigm changers. It's accurate. Something in these words rings true to your gut. You truly CAN be famous. It's all a matter of strategy -combined with all the other known methods of achieving success. It's about creating success with the goal of fame in mind and using fame (power) to leverage your success to massive levels. Buy this book. It is worth it for anyone. Weather you want fame or power -its a perfect addition to your arsenal for personal development. Cheers!
Good read but this probably won't make you famous! It has great background information and talks about how even Mother Teresa had a marketing team. It puts things in perspective! It talks about a very important distinction between a fame and money. Guess what? The two are not really related! It can be, but not always. I never thought of it that way! There are other eye openers like this!From my point of view, bottom line is you need a publicist (not so much the formula presented in this book), without that person you cannot go anywhere. A publicist will do these things that the book mentions, with the right contacts that he/she may have. For you to try to make those contacts and put yourself out there may not be probable. Here you are talking about baby steps and then the book jumps to how you should behave if you get a TV spot. I mean, really? Most of us can't even dream about getting a TV spot or getting that type of publicity. Some of this is for the already famous people so they don't foul up a radio, tv interview. For the absolute beginner I don't think this is that helpful. Do you know how hard it is to get a TV spot? Unless you are backed by a major label (as in music) or a big publisher that will push for you, no one is going to invite you on. Fame to me is something that other people make happen for you. You cannot go around begging people to love you! By other people I mean, a machine or a big label (can you tell I'm a musician) that goes in with the connections and gets you that TV spot or other publicity.But there are a lot of good things here that PUTS things in perspective and opens your eyes and make you realize how things are done. But I don't see this as a formula for fame per say. It might be a formula but most people are not in a position to do all the work themselves; that's why they have a publicist.
I have purchased many books on success, personal branding, and creating expert status. I think that this book provides the clearest blueprint on how fame can improve your success no matter what your business may be. It is full of pertinent information that takes you step by step through the process of building fame and includes their Fame Formula for guaranteed results. I also appreciated that this book included a section on things that hinder one from taking action -- I think it's important to be aware of the roadblocks you can put in front of yourself. Overall, this was a down-to-earth read with a concise and clear action plan that anyone can implement. Be warned, this is not about becoming an overnight success, but I do believe that if you read this book and take even a fraction of the actions recommended, you will see results. I know that I will.
This book gives you the basic breakdown on how to become famous in you industry. It's not a get famous quick guide so if that's what your looking for this is not for you. This book is a realistic 12 month hard working guide and if followed, you will benefit greatly. If you are serious like I am - this book is priceless.
This book does give you a very clear plan of attack. The steps are not trivial, the path is not easy. Yet, you have a very viable plan to achieve your goal with the media. I think highly enough of the book to buy it for a friend who needs it to maximize his fame from a TV show.
I have read this book to brush up on my public relations skills and it certainly has helped me. It is interesting, nothing boring with relevant examples. Buy it if you are brushing up on your skills or have to interact with the public.
